found a few problems but dont know what they do

I was giving my camaro a look over casue of my coolant problem and i founfd a 2 problems and was wondering if you can tell me what they are and what the parts do? here are some pics of the first problem it looks like a vaccum line crossing my alternater and it got burned well this affect my idel????

thanks for yourhelp guys maybe this has something to do with my idel and the reason why my revs sticks sometimes

The first item is your charcoal canister, which is used to combat emissions. It's not that big of a deal, you'd probably be more concerned that you could have an open vacuum line since it melted some. Depending on emissions regulations in your state, you could just disconnect the canister and cap off the line. It appears that the vacuum source is your throttle body. You can cap it off right there if you'd like.

The burn connector, I'm not so sure - I'd have to go look at mine and I'm not in a position to do so right now.

A couple more things:

1. Forum veterans don't like it when you post the same thing on multiple forums, so you might want to avoid that.

2. A vacuum leak can defintely affect your idle, but you might have other issues. Fix this first, then go from there.

3. If you can, post high-resolution pics of where that electrical connection leads to and we'll tell you what it is and how important it is.
