Anyone from or near Yreka CA? I found this board way back in 2005 (havent been here since until today) and was living in Pennsylvania but moved to CA almost a yr ago to get married I have an El Camino thats apart (body off the frame) but with no engine or tranny. I am thinking of selling it and saving my money to get a third gen (91 or 92) Camaro. I'd like to find one with a red interior and a 5 speed. I am in no hurry to get one now as my $$ arent there. Any CAmaro clubs in Northern CA?? anyone going to Kool April Nights in Redding?

 

damn thats in the middle of no where i had to mapquest it to figure out where it was. only been as high as weed..... but i was thinking about going up to redding for that show

 

I have family up there and in fort jones. Go up there quite often, very nice part of the state.

 

I've been through it going to Oregon a few times, that's where I fill up on the way home. A lot of nothing out there.

 

You might better fill up in Ashland OR, gas is usually 30 cents cheaper there than here in Yreka.
Yes there is alot of nothing here but the beauty of it is we have the view of Mt Shasta and the surrounding mountains

 

I usually am in just too big of a hurry to get the hell out of Oregon so I stop there. I love the Shasta view, I have a bunch of pics of that mountain. Isn't it a volcano?

 

Yes Shasta is a volcano and theres another volcano thats just to the north of Shasta, but I forget what its called. I never noticed it until a bus passenger of mine pointed it out to me as you can see a crater on top of it, but you have to look for it. I have lived out here in CA only since March '07 so I am still learning the area and my bus routes have shown me alot.

 

Yeah, I just moved back from Rapid City, SD. I spent 3 years over there on a handcrew fighting wildland fires. Loved the Black Hills, met my girlfriend over there, decided to transfer here to good ole siskiyou county where I grew up.

I've got a red 92 RS 25th Anniversary that I bought in Central Point about 3 years ago from the original owner. Nice little 305 V8, t-tops, custom 3" straight pipe exhaust. Since then I haven't done much, just added a 200amp alternator, 4,000watt sound system w/ separate battery and capacitors...oh and about 35,000 highway miles.

Needs a tune up...Now that I've got the garage...all I need is the TIME!
