I am fine with last year's route.
We will use your house as the main starting point and people can join in at certain spots. I am sure their is going to be a san jose crew and what not.
He will post a route. With address information I am sure. He wants to gauge the interest in the route we are taking first

I talked to Ronus he is from santa rosa too. He said he won't have his car in good enough shape to make it most likely. But it is possible still. Hopefully we will have more cars. Will you going to make a nor cal face book posting also?

I've been working on a Norcal logo for a while, maybe I can finish it tonight and post it up to see what you guys think. Also had some cool shirt ideas. Can you have multiple polls in one thread? MODS, I'd like to have three polls for this thread, can it be done? Thanks

It is nor cal third gen not nor cal third gen camaro. So you gotta have firebird/trans am, and Camaro's. Unless your going to run two different options where Trans am owner's would grab on and camaro's the other. I tend to think both cars need to be represented on the same shirt.

You'd probably want to put a t-shirt poll in another thread anyway. ..

If I was moderator. I'd allow 3 polls in 1 thread. That is all im sayin'
let's just do the route form last year Will. A lot of peeps weren't on it. I forgot it. And it was a very fun drive. so that takes 1 poll out of the question.
Food wise. It isnt hard to satisfy. I'd say anything but chinese, and sushi. So a steakhouse, burger place, mexican food, or pizza sounds good. Diner or whatever. As long as it has a huge parking lot. ya know?

I thought the route was great last year though too. If I was going again I would've stayed the night and done more out there as that was a long drive from Sac for a burger, heh.
If you want this thread stuck, or an email to the mailing list, just let me know.

I like how you cut the state, haha. Nice!
Are you partial to the bird in gold? Since the state is already a shade of that, I like blue.

If you bring the star down and to the east a little it'll look like your pinpointing Manteca as the main spot for Nor Cal Third Gen's. And that'd be hell of a compliment

Seriously i'd wear it!
Would that be on front or back? and would be having cars on the shirt be too much?

HAHA, Manteca, the Jewel of California. Actually the star was on the image I used, for Sacramento. I figured it was fitting to leave it.
As for the design, I was unsure of where to use it. I had thought of left chest on front, since it is small, and enlarging the image would prolly distort it until I can make a highres one. But on the back I wanted to do something for the cruise. Also the more we add to the shirt the more the price increases. I'll start a separate tshirt thread tonight like Del said. Will make it easier to get the info to you guys. I'm glad you like the logo so far. I'll make some adjustments and post up once more before I go get a sample done.

I'm working on it brother. Between my 9-5, stuff around the house, and sleep, it's hard to get all this stuff going. I may need to employ a staff! hahaha. I spent my lunch just now scouting locations in the area and looking at parking situations with google earth. I don't wanna get too excited but I think I found a great spot for us. I'll have a facebook page up and running tomorrow, and we should have a restaurant picked out by the end of May, so hopefully we will have 1 month for everyone to get their cars running, cleaned, and ready to roll.

Re: Official 2012 Norcal Thirdgen Cruise to Santa Cruz Thread
So I've put together a few options guys. I've also added a poll question. Check out the reviews below and vote!
1. Burger - http://www.burgersantacruz.com/
http://www.yelp.com/biz/burger-santa-cruz
My favorite, big parking lot, food looks to be bangin'. I emailed the place to make sure they could take care of us. waiting to hear back. Location directly on the 1 through town means no one will get separated, central location to turn a lot of heads.
2. El Chino - http://www.yelp.com/biz/el-chino-mex...ant-santa-cruz
Large parking lot, plenty more in the area, might be a good contender.
3. Cole's BBQ - http://www.yelp.com/biz/coles-bbq-an...ing-santa-cruz
Something new? Ok sized lot immediately attached, but shares it with other businesses so not sure.
4. Fosters Freeze - http://www.yelp.com/biz/fosters-freeze-santa-cruz
Smallish lot, but plenty of parking in the surrounding area.
5. Jack's Burgers - http://www.yelp.com/biz/jacks-hamburgers-santa-cruz
Public parking in the area, small lot adjacent.
Bottom line, there aren't many options with large lots that will take us all in Downtown Santa Cruz. Real estate is at a premium there and it doesn't look like they invested in parking. I also tried to keep us away from the boardwalk, to ease traffic concerns and what not. Now if everyone is down to try another end destination, I'm open to hearing those options as well.

Who all is going from the Sac area?
Re: Official 2012 Norcal Thirdgen Cruise to Santa Cruz Thread
I've been to burger so many times. Good Luck finding parking lol. It has parking for about 10 cars and usually is packed. The food has great variety, but it leaves you wanting to buy like 5 different burgers.
I personally wouldn't choose it, but you guys should experience it at least once.

That looks great. At some point though cost becomes an issue. The more intricate the design, the more difficult it is to print, and the more expensive it becomes for us. If you want to look into getting that one done, go for it! In all reality I think people were more interested in a Norcal Thirdgen shirt, and not so much a santa cruz cruise shirt. Also we want to make sure the design is original, and that we're not using someone's design without their permission.
Ok fellas, I will start the list today, adding everyone that has expressed strong interest in coming to the cruise.
As far as burger goes, I have emailed them twice to no avail. The google maps images shows a wrap around parking structure, but if you've been there, that works for me. We can start looking at other venues, might also have to consider another end spot outside of downtown.
