what size are your procharger pulleys? mine hits my hood

I think mine is 5.5"

it has a 5 50 printed on it..

They make way smaller ones than that. Can you use a smaller blower pulley and a smaller crank pulley to get the same ratio?

The pulley itself hits your hood, or the head unit?
The kit you're using is not the standard obviously for our cars, so I'd just recommend calling ProCharger and asking as Jeremy stated if another set can assume the same ratio.

I thought if you decrease blower pulley size, you would want to increase the crank size to prevent dramatic increase in boost pressure.
Keep in mind your belt sizes will change too and need to be exact.

I have a 4" blower pulley and I believe the crank is around 7.65".
I'll probably move to around a 3.6-3.8 sometime in the far future after I get mine dialed in the way I want it now.

We are all using different models and probably #ribs as well, so our sizes really don't mean anything to your setup.

right now im setup for 12psi.

Terrell, if you turned your unit 90* counter-clockwise, that is how mine sits.

I was just curious what sizes you guys used.

Anyone wanna trade/sell? lol

Maybe I will cut a hole in my hood. I think a 4" would clear.
I wonder what boost pressure that would jump me up to..


dont be suprised if I pull up without a hood.

You have it a little backwards. Decrease in blower pulley size = boost increase, you are correct. But an increase in crank pulley size = INCREASE in boost. This is because a bigger crank pulley will have a larger circumference and will spin the blower more in each revolution compared to a smaller pulley.

Travis, a swap from 5.5" to 4" on the blower pulley is a 27% decrease or so.. so that should be in the ballpark of 15psi or so if what you have now is supposed to give 12psi. Although I am surprised that it is rated that low considering your step up ratio is 5.4:1. Terrell's uses a 3.25" pulley for 12psi with a 3.05 step up so a 5.5" pulley on a 5.40 step up is a bit higher ratio assuming the same crank pulley size (you have a 69% larger pulley so 69% less input speed.. but a 77% higher step up ratio.. and your compressor should be more efficient). Though its late so my math might be off, heh. How big is your crank pulley?

That would be awesome, I know it would not work for belt width size, but to check to see if hood clearance works..

I can't guarantee 12psi, thats just what is printed on the sheet somewhere.

If you are not running solid motor mounts, also consider that the engine will torque up on that side a bit too... How far away from driving it are you?
I hope to order a Spec stage 3+ clutch in the next couple of weeks and get back to driving my Camaro... Been way too long ! The time you came down for the cruise was the last time I drove it....

That'll teach me to make a post in a hurry. You're right.

1-2 inches is going to make the difference for clearance? Wow, I'll just have to see this setup.
Mine is pretty damn loud when the hood is up, imagine yours will scream.

when you pop your hood and its just sitting their, thats how it rests on my car, on the pulley.

I run poly mounts, so I hope it does not torque much, and if it does, oh well I will have some scratch marks in my hood lol.

I had the pleasure to hear Terrel's tonight. Too bad his intake was blowing off lol.. funny though.
