Found Cold Air= What % of horsepower ratio...
Y'all might already know this, but I didn't know the basic horsepower formula for cold air induction. So here it is out of Hot Rod Magazine:
Q: What is the effect of colder air and its ratio of engine horsepower increase by degree of temperature?
A: Assuming blah-blah-blah; every 10*-F temp drop is worth a 1% hp gian. For example~ if my 1988 TPI engine compartment is 200 degrees and it makes 240hp, by dropping the temperature just 50* with a Ram Air/Cold Airbox setup it becomes worth a 5% hp gain = That's 12 extra hp!
Now for when Travis gets his SC dialed in @ 500hp it will be like he added an extra 25hp punch!!
That made sense to me....

I love the paraphrasing! Good info though. I even noticed some change in performance going from a drop-base air cleaner to a standard height to push the air cleaner up into the cowl of my hood.
