Paint

Well I've been rockin a white nose cone on a red car for about 6-8 months now.

I finally sent the nose cone & L/F lower GfX to a local body shop that buys tires from me. it took about 6 days to strip it & re paint it Red.

It turns out the Primo nose cone I thought I scored had 6 different layers of paint on it. No problem for the pros at

Body Craft of Rocklin (916) 784-8111

They brought it to me today & it looks better than the entire car. I'm almost afraid to put it on the car for fear that the rest of the car will look like ****.

I guess theres worse problems to have...Pics soon.

Re: Paint

Hey Marc-

Could you share how much getting a nose job costs these days?

I usually shoot a couple bumpers a year in order to keep my paint skills up to par. I never have charged anyone for the labor side and need a reference figure so they understand the trade value.... Thanx, Nitro

Re: Paint

They're Full Service Auto Body. Paint, body work, etc etc.

I've found out that most body shops these days aren't really into painting the entire car anymore. They're more focused on paint to match body panels, & collision repair.

Re: Paint

yeah it seems as though they make more money doing the collision repair so that's what they prefer to do. I know a great painter in Manteca, Ca.
