New years car resolution
First off Happy New Years to everyone. Was just curious to what everyone's car resolution is. Whether it be a new paint job, engine, interior, or to glue your rear view mirror back on the window..haha..
My resolution is to get a flash ecm installed and get my car running better and stronger. Also to get a transmission crossmember mounted torque arm. And hopefully hitting a low 14 in the 1/4 mile by mid year. Should be attainable. I have other goals but I dont know about 2010 for those.

NO MORE GENERIC PARTS!!
I think the price of GM,salvage take-off,TGO members,Hawks,3rd Gen Ranch,1A Auto etc....is going to be better for the longevity of the car & parts!!!

Cure the engine stumble, & get the bird into the 10's then dump a 200 shot of spray on top of that.

Re: New years car resolution
I'd like to have paint and body 100% complete, and show car quality within the next few months. Past that, I'd be happy with the engine being completed.

To finish the bodywork and paint get headers and y-pipe and cam, and get the 8 piece t-top seal kit thats on back-order from Classic Industrys. and get a good job to pay for it all. lol

Too many cars and things I'd like to get done to list!
Mainly for my GTA I'd like to find some missing boost and then find some low 12's.

Re: New years car resolution
Not yet. There is a shop in the Woodlands that did some great work on another members car. It's the Camaro 454LSX thread if I recall correctly. That's a few hours from me, but for the quality of work they did, it might be worth it. I'll be doing some of the body work myself though in order to cut down the costs at the body shop. I'll also be prepping the car for paint myself.

Anderson Bro's in West Sac does awesome work. That's where I plan on having all my body work done. Not sure on paint though, they do true factory type paint jobs, and you better be prepared to throw down some serious cash! But their body work is reasonable imo, and far superior to any Maco and chain type body shop.

Re: New years car resolution
Happy New Year to all.
My personal resolution was not so much a single step on any one car, but more of a refocusing of my attention. I've let too many projects pile up in my shop it's just too difficult to get anything done. My new years resolution was to stop chasing new projects, filter out some of the old ones, and get going on the ones that remain. Sadly my '84 Z28 is falling victim to the axe, along with a couple other "newly aquired" projects. Once the remaining projects are finished, I will buy another thirdgen, but this time it will be a nice one that needs little to no work.
P.S. The '84 is going into good hands, and will be rolling again a lot sooner than I would have ever been able to do.
