So as you might've seen on the car show thread, I saw a set of rims on a 1st gen Camaro that really caught my eye.

I love my current rims and get a lot of compliments, but it's always nice to browse.
These are really not a huge change from the Torq-Thrust rims I have now, just a little edgier look and smoother spokes.
My TTIIs have a rough spoke finish and were a pricey 2-piece custom ordered built set.

What do you think? Post up a vote and feel free to voice any opinions in here.

The 3rd pic is the new style on the 1st gen.

 

Either one will look great, if you are getting burned out on the TT2's then we all know what the answer will be
I think your better off spending the money on other things you bitch about like paint..

Im into the newer ones. As you said, there isnt much difference between the two, but with the newer wheels, you lose the step lip which makes the stagger a lot nicer. The lines on our cars arent too sharp like the newer wheel spokes, but I dont think it would hurt the appearance or appeal that that thing already draws. And yes u keep cryin bout the paint and tryn to figure out whats wrong with the blower, Id focus on one of those two. The look of the car wont change that much with a newer set of the "same style" wheel. Ya feel me?

I will stick with my priorities, no plans to do this right now.
I keep a running to-do list and just wanted to feel some opinions on these since I rarely fancy any other rims for my car.

 

I think both are a safe choice of rims. If you have the TT's, and you're looking to change it up...I say change it up completely.

Ya those torque thrust IIs look amazing on your GunMetal GTA. I wish I could find a nice wheel for a Flame Red GTA, it's tough for my color.
BUT keep the ones you have, theyre honestly beautiful, I dig the roundness in the spokes.

as long as you don't put on 20" spinners, then someone would have to B-slap ya I would go with paint first, you might find that if you get the rims first, then paint that you wish you had a different style to go with the paint.

 

Landslide to keep the same rims, very interesting!

I plan on going with the same factory paint color, Gunmetal metallic. It should look more bluish gray than just the faded gray it looks now.

What brand are those new rims? I dig 'em.

 

Personally, I like the TT2's. Car is perfect the way it is (although it would be even better as a '91 or '92).

 

And what's wrong with '88,'89,'90?

He's just partial to that body style. I prefer the 88-90, plus what am I going to do with an airbag?

'89 was the best year for what I wanted: A 350 + t-tops + the 9-bolt.
