Major reliability test for my baby
So I have driven my car to Post Falls, ID 2 times now. It's about 900 miles each way, so 1800 round trip. So between my 2 trips with extra driving while I was up there I probably did damn near 4k miles.
And I did all this within 3 weeks. Car only had a 1 week break back here in CA before I left again for my second trip. I always drive straight through too, just stop for gas, takes about 14.5 to 15 hours.
On my first trip coming home I got a SES light, stayed on for about 30 sec, then off. Never noticed any drivability issues either. Forgot to check the code when I got home. Then I left for my second trip and the whole way up and back never saw the SES again. Checked the code when I got home and it's the EGR
but I am glad to finally find out what is all of the sudden killing my mpg's and a rough idle here and there. So really no biggie for all that driving on a 3rdgen
She only drank 3/4 quart of oil each round trip. That's not bad either in my opinion since my valve seals are shot from the engine sitting so long. Sorry for the long story, just wanted to brag a little about my baby

Thanks guys. Del, one tank I actually got 31.5 mpg going through some mostly flat land through Oregon doing about 65 mph. Anyway, over all I would say 27 mpg. And most of the time I was doing 70-75 mph, so not bad at all. Working CC on a 3rdgen is a very nice thing too
