Number 1 baby! I'm hoping for better numbers on Saturday with some track prep. These street tires don't like my 6 speed/torque.

I wanted to run last wend. but didnt know I had to tie down batterys... lol it was my first time going to race.. Ill get it done n post it. im runin all stock 82 z28 on rally wheels. I been workin on my desktop dyno n it said i should be runnin 17.7 lol hella last haha all I see is potentential though! hit me up next time you guys roll. I could use some ideas to upgrade it. dont have a hole lot of dough though just your avereg hot rod 9-5 dude

 

13.1@104mph with a 1.9 60ft , 350sbc stock heads with lt4 cam hsr 700r4 stock 3.42 gears

 

I had an extra couple hundred pounds in the car and the converter was slipping a little so hopefully next time it will be high 12's:-)

Nope lol I had a full ice chest, a floor jack, full tank of gas, full weight interior, and a bunch of tools :-) wanted too see what the car would do fully loaded down and full interior, next time I'm gonna run a quarter tank of gas and take everything out that I usually have out and should be 300 lbs lighter, that with a new converter hopefully will put me in the mid 12's:-). Can't wait too se what its gonna do on a 200 shot

 

Bullydawg I'm running a tune from someone local here in fresno that specializes in tuning thirdgens and he does a great job

Ive raced the 86 twice this year 2.5-2.6 60' aint cuttin it makin my times not even worth postin hopefully may 8th i can put down a solid run and get it tuned in better

 

Whaaa? I was cutting 2.2's with a 6 speed... I had the same issue on drag radials back when the formy was Auto... You might be better off only stalling it to like 1100-1300 and rolling on the throttle.

 

yea i think i was stallin waaaay too much and felt comfy at 1000 when i was testin it on the street i started in second the car spun and bogged pretty bad off the line but still got 94 mph on my last run so i kno it can hit mid 14s jus need a few minor detail things and should be rippin

 

^ Agreed. If you're doing 2.5's, you definitely want to back off that throttle on launch until you find the sweet spot. The list is about improvement as well, so even if you have a less than stellar 1/4, aim to beat it next time.
