Its' been on there for good two=three months now. I just got one from the "oh so trusted" JY!

I am gonna try to either modify this nose or I am not even sure exactly what, but Knight Rider is what am going for.

Where have ya been at Paul??

Let me know when you have a day off so we can go to dinner with our ladies!

COUNT ME IN!! My Z is ready to rock and roll and in about another month or two, my original 77K mi. sport coupe will be ready to hit the street with a brand new 355 screamer with a killer drive train to back it up. Can you say "two the hard way?".

hey leeperryracing sounds like you've got a pretty serious setup,
you hit the track ever? Just curious because I want my setup to end up very similar except with a turbo instead of a procharger. Also curious what your using for a computer and who tuned it?

91Ram Air, i have the F.A.S.T fuel injection tuning system which is very user friendly once you figure out the software and can actually comprehend the information on the performance tables inside it. It's a bit pricey of a system but talk about ultimate tunability! you get what you pay for.

I haven't chimed in about the club because, frankly, there's no way I'd have time to participate.

I was wondering, though, if this has gotten any more discussion or thought. didn't indicate that was the case.

I've been running Club Clash with Heavy Metal Racing (was High Country Chevys until a couple of years ago) since 1996. Track time is the main reason I won't have time for a new club. . .

That will be one of the items we talk about at our first meeting. I'll be sure to mention it then.

Sounds good. The racer handbook shows entry fee is $40 for CC, I heard last night at the open house that it will actually be $35 (same as Friday night ET classes, like it has always been in years past).

Another club out there would be good. Especially one with a good turn-out. Have any questions, I'll be glad to help. It's all for fun. But, don't expect any favors if we get lined up next to each other. . .

One of you should swing by Bandimere and pick up some handbooks and CC fliers before your meeting.

It's basically a standard ET bracket handicap race.

First, you must pass tech. For your basically stock ride, you'll need a functioning radiator overflow (stock is fine), battery hold down (stock is fine), and functioning neutral safety switch for automatic tranny cars (stock is fine). Specifically for Club Clash, you must run a muffler and DOT tires (DOT street slicks are fine). 13.99 & quicker you need a Snell 95 or later helmet. Cars running quicker than 12.99 need a driveshaft loop. Cars running quicker than 11.49 need a 6-point cage. After they finish inspecting your car, you'll get a wristband you need to show at the starting line, and a run card that they'll punch for each run you make for time trials (and typically first round of eliminations).

Next, they break it up into two classes: 14.00 seconds and slower (Hot Rod), and 10.50-13.99 seconds (Top Street). In Hot Rod, you can't dial lower than 14.00, but you don't lose just because you ran quicker than that if the other guy breaks out (runs quicker than dial-in) more than you. In Top Street, you can't dial slower than 13.99 or quicker than 10.50.

Get in the gate before 5:30 p.m., you'll get two time trials. Get there between 5:31 and 6:30 p.m., you get one time trial. Get there after 6:30, no time trial. They call you to the staging lanes by the color of your run card.

Eliminations are like any ET bracket race. Before going under the tower, you must post your "dial-in" on the windshield, right window, and rear window (white liquid shoe polish, or the "Write On Write Off" they sell at the track for $4/bottle). You will be paired with whoever is in the staging lane beside you, unless that is a fellow club member, in which case they'll try to get you moved to run a different club member. If your club members are doing well, in the later rounds that may no longer be possible (twice last year, our club had more than half of the racers left in the quarterfinal round). The dial-in is to two decimal places (xx.xx), but ET is to the 3rd decimal place (xx.xxx). Before you run, your dial-in will be posted on the time board in your lane. Make sure it is correct before you stage, because once you stage you've accepted the entered dial-in (and they do get it wrong from time to time - ask me how I know. . .).

Lose your race, you're done for the night. No contingency or buy-back.

Trophies only, no pay-out (they are talking about some kind of "prizes", like some kind of free parts for the first perfect light of the night, or something like that).

You must be registered for the season to accumulate individual points - you can register anytime, but points will only be counted after you've registered. Only registered racers allowed on the 5-person team. Season registration gets you season-long tech (all you have to do is sign in each night to get your wristband & run card - well worth the $35 if you go out more than a few times).

One last thing: No drinking and racing!!!!!

Thanks five7kid for the detailed description.

I would love to run in club clash, but I need to get to the bottom of my hesitation problem.

Hey, its just a TBI, but its still fun!

Couple of things I forgot to mention:
- You need a valid driver's license
- If under 18, you need a signed release from parent or guardian

(raiser - hesitation is not a problem, as long as it hesitates the same each time. )

If I am just barely moving the launch is great. But from a dead stop there is a bit of hesitation.

Its all good!

Hey guys. Just got my RS back up and running again after the dreaded fuel pump install this past weekend. I am down in the springs and would be interested to join a bunch of third gens. Unfortunatly I'm out of town this coming weekend, so count me in for the next gathering whenever that is.

My car was pretty thrashed after 8 years of abuse, but have been replacing piece by piece for the past year. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel pump, relays, starter, thermostat, thermostat housing, ignition module, oil pressure sender, oil, filter, VSS, you name it, etc... Paint is worked, and will be re-painted this summer. One of these days it will be nice again, but its always been a fun ride.

I just met up with Phil. He used to be in coloradof-body and he has a second gen.
The good fella just got himself 87 Irocz and he wants to in.
However, he works sat. so his attendance is questionable.
I am sure Russ and Paul know him.
So, we are getting more people interested in this!

I'll let Russ post directions to his place. if he does not get on here by sat, Let me know and I will give you directions.
