HELLOOOOO Denver
Just accepted a job in Commerce City and I start in 3 weeks. You guys got room for another Fireturd out there?
Anybody want to bet what my chances of passing the any type of emission test with 72# injectors and no cats?
Flying out this week to start the hunt for a new crib. That should be fun...... Been a little over 24 hours since I accepted the job and the wife is starting to trip already. LMAO
Hopefully I'll get to know some of ya once I figure out the 'car places' to hang out at. I'll be the guy in the purple 'bird trying not to draw the attention of the local PD.

Welcome aboard!
Welcome to the thin air Chris! You've got pretty good timing, we've just finished the first meeting of the new "Mile-High Thirdgens" group!
Not sure what to tell you about passing emissions with your setup, but I suspect that as long as you have a decent tune on it, and nothing obviously missing as far as smog equipment, you'll probably have a decent shot (They do check for a cat though!). I spent a bit of time questioning the inspectors when I had my truck checked, & they seemed to be fairly reasonable. I still have 1 or 2 things that I need to fabricate/reconnect before I have my GTA tested, but after talking with them, I'm not as worried as I was before... (But why on earth do you need 72lb injectors?? What kind of beast are you bringing???)
Anyway, let us know when you get here - we'll arrange for a rousing thirdgen welcome (that will bring your neighbors out with pitchforks & torches)!

Welcome, and dont worry about the Commerce City pd. I live here and I pretty much know all the officers, but it would be just my luck I'd get stopped by a rookie. Let me know if you need any help finding a crib I know it out here pretty well. Again welcome can't wait to get you going in the our new club.

As far as emissions, I just had to visit the "Smog *****" and I passed on my second time. What I did was runa few bottles of rubbing alcohol in the gas and turn my fuel pressure down to stock levels. You could probably find a hollowed out cat somewhere and put it on, but other than that, do a decent tune that runs close to stock. Also, do you have headers w/ the AIR tubes? The lady at the one I went to marked it on my emissions report that you have them. Hope this helps ya.

Cat? What's a Cat?
What's smog equipment? Throwing that crap away was my first mod - LMAO. Looks like the car keeps it's Iowa plates/registration.
BTW, my sig is the short version of the car. Longer version is 6" rodded 406 that lives on leaded race gas, AFR 210's, Cog drive F1R, ASSC/CamMotion custom grind cam, Pro-Ram carb style intake, 90mm Accufab Ford style TB, Custom dual pump fuel system, 72# injectors, 2 stage NOS, FAST DFI, manually shifted TH400 ......
I'm actually probably going to need to upgrade to 83# injectors if I really squeeze the thing. Emission testing? What emission testing?

if you ask me, adams county/ westminster and broomfield is THE best place to not only live, but to raise a kid.
i gaurentee if you give it a chance to look around over here, you'll really like what you see.

BTW, my car is the one in the Car Craft article on the Mufflex website. That was version 2 of my car. I'm currently on version 5 or 6

Hey carbed87....
I don't know why it is, but that's just what most people have been telling us about Adams County.
FWIW, Westminster and Broomfield are areas we are looking at. Along with about 8 others at the moment. Lot of developments with Home Owners Associations in the Denver area. Don't see much of that around here unless it's a Condo. My problem is parking for a car trailer and all my 'toys' plus I'm used to having 2 garages and a big(1/2 acre+) yard in town.

Welcome to the neighborhood.
Out-of-state plates is a fine waiting to happen.
You want space, no E-check, proximity to Denver/Springs, think "Elbert County".

What are you, some kind of Iowa city-boy?
Seriously, think outside the metro box. Certainly helps the housing sticker
effect, although it won't totally eliminate it. It's not like you need to live 5 minutes from work, right?
