Rs2nV Update

got some nice packages from jegs and summit today, still waiting on the head gaskets to come in should be here friday, i got today
Cam, lifters, tbi spacer, massive 3" cat, valve covers, timing chain,

Parts are all painted except the touchup on my header, where i cut the pipe for the heat stove off, and the timing chain cover and the shortblock, decided the nice black tc cover would look better than chrome, dont wanna clutter it

HAve to finish cleaning up the surface of the block, give the bay and firewall a good scrubbing, paint some misc spots in there, finish porting the manifold match the heads, have some pipe bent up for the exhaust and then we're good to go,

I've got a treat for yall with the exhaust i got a muffler coming that to my knowledge hasnt been put on a thirdgen yet, i've heard clips on other car with smaller pipes and its mean, so i figure with the headers, ypipe, 3" cat and 3" piping all the way back....shes gonna bark

SHooting to fire her first week of may, tomorrow i'm gonna go bone yard scavenging after work for the a/c delete box

Nice always good to hear positive progress on your car. I got a question for ya since you have the same hood i just got a few days ago. Did you have any problems with a gap at the front of your hood? After i trimmed the lip down a little bit i now have this huge gap at the base of my hood. In your sig picture yours looks like it fits very well in the front. Any ideas? I already lowered my latch mechanism and that helped very little. I also lowered my rubber bump stops down.

small hood? your being sarcastic right? 4" is pretty big, but anyways i have a bit of a gap at the front but its not bad, it doesnt bother me too much, to close it up to where it is now i had to file a hair of the area where the cable is to get the latch to drop further, i noticed this winter it still sits a hair high a tthe corners to the fenders so before its back together i'll work that a bit more, from infront and above you cant really tell certain angles it looks like a bigger gap

Not sure where you read anything like this at? Well i'll probably open up the latch holes like you did, but after looking at your gap mine is almost the same. Your car looks sweet, how much lower is that thing going to get?

LOL, I just figured that out! Paul calm down buddy . That hood is hughe in person. It reminded me of the supercharger sticking out. Its a nice looking hood!. And yes its hughe .

Paul you should go to the colorado junkyard over in littleton. They have a buttload of cars.
Let me know when you're going, maybe we can both go.
Just like the good ol' days.
