show sun 21st, today, camaros big debut

got most of the bugs worked out, have the exhaust squeeking somewhere sounds like on a heat shield, i'm gonna see if i cna track it down in the morning if not ohwell, drove it quite a bit tonight....alot actually, she's sick the exhaust is like nothing i've ever heard, its a nice rumble at idle, keep in mind the fairly big cam helps, up to about 2500 its like a good flowmaster on a stang, about 2500 and up....the gates of hell open and it is ridiculously loud, gonna need some tuning work, gonna call the guy monday, gonna need gears big time, there is like very little low end now but i tell ya what from a roll or say 1800+rpm it is crazy power took her to about 4k tonight and she just pulls and pulls with tons of pedal left....so if i get the airride reset up for my ride heights and get a few int panels back together and the car starts i'll be at the dust off today at dash works heres the info, sorry i didnt get around to posting this earlier

Gotta work all day D@MMIT... Really cool that you were able to get some "shakedown" time in though! Didn't that feel good?

lol hell i spent teh last 4 hours talking to the neighbor, they are rice burners and i ran into the civic owner on illiff on the way home.......lets just say not even rolling to wot, it takes modded civics by a good 4 bus lengths

I brought home nothing, the show was a joke, not because i didnt win anything it was VERY disorganized, tehy couldnt even get the raffle right, my buddys got a 73 chevelle, popular hotrodding i htink may 06, on the cover he won our class, took third in street rod which he wasnt registered in.....and there was no first or second, it was a mess,

THe bikini contest was a sham, i feel i've been ripped off, tehy only had 4 girls and only one looked decent, i asked her later on to pose for the car, she's all yea cool then saw it was the camaro and goes oh sorry i only take pics with imports WTF??????? I was pissed

Car showed awesome, tons of attention lots of pics taken, ran great no issues, romped on it under the i-70 over pass on peoria and scared myself....looks like me and my buddy are gonna head to the super walmart or cherry creek mall parking garage this weekend and do a little "sound" testing with her, cars a beast though....just ask teh civic owner

That looks like a really good streetable cam, and a heck of a good improvement over stock. Only thing that surprises me with those specs is the big difference in exhaust lift, but judging by what you've written, it's definitely working! I called Comp again today to get some more feedback on my dual-purpose car, & this time I got somebody who really knew his ####.

It was really good to finally be able to bounce my ideas off someone & have him come back & say "sure, that could work, but if you did this, then you could..." or else say "yeah, that sounds good, except for...". (I'd totally forgotten that if I went with a 383 stroker, I might have to get a smaller-base-circle cam...) I also thought it was kind of funny when he said "I usually try to not over-cam a car, but if I did, yours would be the one!" I think I'm going to go with a slightly smaller cam than what he suggested though, I don't want to deal with an engine that has to be 100% perfect to pass emissions, or a powerband that doesn't wake up until 3500 RPM... Decisions, decisions...

Anyway, don't worry about that "bikini buzzard", if she was so into imports, you'd probably have had to pressure-wash your the outside of your car afterwards anyways, so no loss! Just make sure that you show up at the next meeting, I want to hear the engine for myself!

Yeah! You've talked about how sweet this sounds I am stoked to hear how good it sounds in real life instead of just imagining from descriptions. Come up to the Goodguys show, If you come early you can drive to my house and I will let you try out my GrandSport Zr1's for the day/while. Let me/us know!
