Hey guys I'm wondering if any of you have a working stock remote mount coil laying around, I have a MSD but think it might not be working and was wondering if anyone has kept their stocker that I can borrow for testing purposes?
thanks,
Marc

Yes I do! I need to dig it out of my spare parts box, and if my memory is correct I can let you know for sure tonight. If I do have it, I would be glad to give it to you if you want to meet me on Aug 5th, @ westminster mall @ 6 pm

I cannot find my coil anywhere. I have a whole box filled with misc. stock parts, just in case type stuff, but it is nowhere to be found. I have moved two times since I last put anything in there, so its no suprise! I will look in my old shop at my dads place, and see if its there.... if you still need it!
BTW, can't wait to see/hear your car run.
Later,
Brandon.

I'm fighting the megasquirt right now, thanks for looking for the coil, does anyone else have one I can use for testing purposes? I really don't want to buy one just in case it's not the problem.
I'm with you Brandon,
I can't wait to hear it run either and I'm ready to drive it as well, it's killing me it's been down since the end of last race season and now this one is almost over.

Mark - Good luck with getting it running, I know how crappy it can be trying to tune somthing that has no specific test procedures, or manuals to follow exact directions. Every combo is just a little different, and that makes it a b*tch. I will drag that coil down next Saturday, If I can find it. If you figure it out before then, or get another one let me know.

could I maybe borrow it on Saturday for a couple of hours? Also those valve covers look sweet on your top end setup.

Most likely - I've got the next couple of days kind of booked, but I can probably take a few mins to meet you somewhere in the Wmin/Thorn area that day... Still wanting to get that block from you anyway!

yea it fired up just in time for me to find out the intake gasket was messed up and I filled the crankcase with water/antifreeze, so the motor is out now and back apart to fix the problem and replace the bearings just for good measures. I'll let you guys know when it's back together and Im tuning the megasquirt.

Ok so now I finally found the problem with my motor I used the wrong head gasket which was allowing water to run into the valley. anyways I should be back together soon and hopefully tuning next week.
