Ride to remember
Hey guys I just wanted to know if you guys were interested in going on a D.O.T. ride to remember. It is to benefit one of the D.O.T. workers who was killed a couple of weeks ago. I know it is a poker run and I know that it's a 15.00 fee for the driver and 5.00 fo each passenger. All the proceeds will go to the widow of the worker. It will be held on September 30th. If any of you are interested post up and I will get all the info we need to do this. So lets help this widow out she is going to give birth to the deceased workers first child so, I thought it would be nice for the club to help her out.

Give us more info!! I may be down to try and do this, as long as the weather holds out. In poker runs don't you collect cards along the way and see who has the best hand when you all done?

I got all the info we need right here, but it is a little much so I'll see you guys at Sasa"s place we can discuss it then. It seems to be really cool and it's for a really good cause. I got the whole thing here including the guys pic. and B I think that is how you do a poker run. I think there is a car show too I just have to read it again.

poker is a simple game. Keep a straight face and lie that's all you need to know. Also it's all based on probability so whatever is harder to get is worth more.

Well guys, I'm not going to be able to be there - I've got a date in the morning with a bunch of 80 lb. bags of concrete...

Sooo.... I started the day in credibly late! I had planned to meet Russ at 9:00 am, and woke up at 8:30
. After a wake me up shower, I was on the road at 9:05, SO I had to haul booty and made it there at evans and holly at 9:50 (NOT SANE). We all shook hands and complemented each other on being there (no offence to who didn't), and took off. There was a ton of bikes there, and I think the whole thing was geared towards bikes. The cruise down to monument had 5 stops for each poker card, and this was cool to get out and shoot the breeze with everyone. The scenery was awsome especially around Palmer Lake area. The last stop was actually just on the North side of the Springs where we had a BBQ, Car show, Auction, and Raffle. Not many cars showed in the car show, but the Third gens were still able to pull off a win. Yeah, I got third place. My trophy is very funny, but I have to have Sasa post a pic of it HINT, HINT! There was so many prizes that everyone got one. Russ was nice enough to give me the door **** set I loathed for - THANKS. The ride home was very fun because at this time we were all friskie and had no slow hogs to get in the way. Russ showed me his 300+/- HP TBI, but I don't think they all showed up
(Sorry I had to). We headed north, and went home.
Perfect day, Good laughs, and a Great time!!!
