Cars and Coffee
Hey guys,
I don't know if anyone here is close to or in Minnesota, but I will post this up anyway.
First a quick little background. A week ago I got in touch with The Museum of Automotive History in Rochester, Minnesota. Initially I was looking for employment, which they couldn't offer yet. The museum is too new, they don't have a building yet; let alone exhibits. Wednesday I came home from a trip to Connecticut, hit two shops full of amazing cars, and saw some old friends from my internship one summer. Opened my email and saw the museum board wanted me to head a national volunteer group, with the goal of outreach, advocacy, and research. I said I would do it, it would give me something to do. So here we are.
Back to the initial topic, the museum is going to be putting on a Cars and Coffee event in Rochester, Minnesota. All cars are welcome, all years, all models. I thought maybe a few third gens could make an appearance. Here are the details.
This event is free, and will take place on the first Saturday of each month, running from May to October, from 8am to 11am. So the first one will be this weekend May 4th.
Location will be at the Peace Plaza in downtown Rochester, Minnesota; at 1st Avenue SW & 1st Street SW, Rochester, MN 55902. Here is more detail from the museum flyer:
"The Museum of Automotive History is a non-profit organization working to create an automotive museum in the Rochester, MN area. We are proud to announce the first "Cars & Coffee" event to help promote the museum and raise funds. This free event is open to the public and all vehicle types. Those bringing vehicles to display can park on the Peace Plaza! No reservations necessary. This is a FREE event!
Caribou Coffee will be selling medium size coffee, tea, and snacks!"
Get the word out, they really want to get this event off the ground and running. Show up for the coffee, stay for the cars, and lets see if we can't get a few 'birds and Camaros there.
Thanks
Chris
