So, I bought a 88 Iroc for 150
So, I bought a 88 Iroc for 150
Its a basketcase. Interior is faded with missing and butchered pieces. The outside has 3 layers of paint, hood is scrap, rear bumper is ripped, and the core support got pulled up in the middle. No engine or trans. Checked the codes and its a white hardtop, 305,auto, drum rear, with tan interior. It was going to the scrap yard or some one buy it. So I went and got it.

I have seen worse interiors for sure! Parts are still relatively easy to find and not too outrageous compared to other cars. Good luck!

I would continue to part that car out - you can find better starting points for far less than this one will take to move forward.
That being said, there are so many parts on that car that can bring good money. Screws, fasteners and many of the miscellaneous parts can be placed on e-Bay for a few dollars and people will pay it to avoid the nuisance of finding them someplace else. The console screws, hatch trim plastic screws, headliner trim - big money when you start breaking it down. You could easily part that car out and end up with $1,000 or more in your pocket after everything is said & done. Then go buy a better car!

I don't know what yards have, always closed when I have time to look. There is a guy between Laurel and Rockvale that has 3rd gen parts cars but I lost his number. I have had best luck on 3rd Gen and ebay for getting parts.

I really didn't plan on buying an iroc. I've been trying to find a 68or69 gto project. Or a 68 to 70 Chevelle. Need more room as I have a kid now. I already have a 02 ta ws6. I just bought to save it. Lol. Don't really have a plan. I like this body style. Always wanted one
68 RA II/Auto, Verdoro Green/Black interior PM if you want more details.

a third gen as well and a 97 SS. Probably why I felt a need to get this. Ended up with a Monte Carlo. Insurance was a killer. So, I saved a long while and paid cash for one. Flew to Maryland and picked it up with 15k on it. My son loves riding around with the t tops off. Ill probably never get rid of it. Dream car!
I'll pm just out curiousity
