I found this on Ebay and thought it was kinda interesting. Its an '87 Formula... Supposedly GM had contracted Auto-Fab of Auburn Hills (?) to build four of these cars. It came with the 5.7L and just about all options including what looked like leather Recaro GTA seats and a CD player. The company that was auctioning the car is called Kruse international. They claimed that this is the only one left in existence.

looks likw a notchback formula to me :-) with some rear fender shirt/flares.....

thats the 88 only gta notchback option on the hatch there so its not unheard of just they inly came p[roduction 88 only gta's was like another 1k$.....

so maybe it is maybe it isnt prototype but kruse does have quite a good reputation so its believeable anyone else here have info on it?

Oh, Hey Jeremy I need to ask ya some stuff, I gave ya a PM.

 

The notchback hatch is almost as ugly as the guy in that picture. I can't believe it was ever even a factory option... who the hell wants to pay a Grand more for that. I do like the wheel flares though - reminiscent of the old 2nd gen TAs.
