anyoen know what is up currently with a date for all of us to try and hit the auto show?

im trying to get tickets from work(dont know if i can yet)......

dom said he got some but i dont know how many.....

We all getting together before the auto show to hash it out?

andn what date are we gonna hit the autoshow:-)

yeah, id like to know when everyones goin too, im goin anyways but i thought it would be a good idea to meet up before hand.

 

Aight here's the scenario. I got the tickets last week, unfortunately we have less availability. I have 10- free admittance for the first day and Monday the 17th. But I also have weekday discount tickets for the entire run of the show. So like I said before, everyone has a guaranteed 1 free ticket. We can draw names out of a hat for the rest of the free tickets, since i have 8 screen names with requests. And we can compesate everyone else with weekday discounts. So to be clear this is who i have down for tickets:

MattW, Jeremy, ssnow, Metalli, fruityone, steve, jeff1367, 9d1burd

I say we meet Jan 17th or Jan 31. Well go go to eat or sumpthin. I'm voting for the first day of the show friday, Feb 14th. Hell it's valentines day! We get our cars and the girls get taken out

 

Well since the availability is limited, I'm going to withdraw my request and let someone else have them. Sorry guys, but its mine and my girlfriends anniversary that weekend, and she doesn't wanna spend it at the auto show.

 

im not askin for free tix but ill be glad to go and meet up with you all if its no problem.

alright, just let me know when and how youre going to raffle them off, but im interested if theyre there.

 

the tix are not that expensive anyway so i am not concerned with buying them. i just want an answer on the day that people plan on going. i think that it would be best to go on the weekend because weekdays usually cause a problem with work and or school.i would like to go and meet up with everyone and just make a day out of it.

Well, obviously we aren't meeting today. ^_^. January 31st is better, as the 17th(today) is too short a notice. Where on the 31st? *** invented GPS satallites so people like me wouldn't get lost. I'm terrible with directions.

That saturday(the 22nd) is the best day for me. I have Tumbling State the next day(Sun. 23rd). Just wanna get a date set for the show, taking off work is hard because I absolutely have to find a sub. Can't let the kiddies teach themselves ya'know! Also I have school to consider. I can't be missing classes, DeVRY doesn't like that. Though some of them I could blow off without an issue.

I might even have my car out! Though I doubt it because Feb. isn't known for its great weather!

 

I think the weekend wouldbe better. Me and the girlfriend work all day, and go to school all night, so the weekend is our only free time. So let us know, and we will be there. Any bringing their cars? I will probably bring mine if the weather stays this way. Let me know.

 

well if the snow stays away i will prolly drive my car there but i am not certain yet.

What is the official date for the auoto show? what 2 weeks is it? we need to pick a date and just go with it as this point , tickets arent a big deal getting a date for us all to try and meet up is :-)

well im going Saturday the 15th...........

 

i usually work saturdays but thats mornings, if not i can arrange to work the morning, im good with the 15th, im good with any day actually, id just like to know for sure. is anyone goin to the WOW? im gonna go because my buddy has 2 GN's that are going to be in it so im gonna hang out with him. take care GUYS...

sunday is the best bet for everyone involved and the majority of us dont have work related issues on a sun so the 16th it is......

Dominick is supposed to have some extra tickets too so im not quite sure how many, i couldnt get any from my dealer(cheap bastards:-))

we're also trying to pick a day before the auto show so at least some of us can get together and grab some grub and pass out what tickets passes that we have.................

I don't have anything planned on the 16th, that works for me.

 

Yeah we could always go Sunday, but my free admissions are only good for the first friday and Monday of the show. So I mean the tickets would be void and the weekend. Plus with I might be able to aquire 4 more tickets soon. Another thing Jeremy brought to my attention is a date to get together for giving out the tickets. When does everyone have a free moment, I'm sugguesting Feb. 8th. We can meet somewhere in the middle so everyone has an equal drive. It's getting down to the wire, so how does everyone feel about this?

 

Hey have fun guys, would love to go but I'm too busy workin.. I'm plannin on not goin in case I have to work.. lately I've had to work to find work.. Nobody getting hours anywhere, unfortunately... Besides, serious work goin on with my car right now.

Since you can't get tickets for the weekend that just means we don't get free tickets. The 16th is the only day i can make it, so I'll pay the $10 admission fee.

I'll go for valet parking if they have it and I drive the bird, otherwise the escort can find its own spot to rot in.

 

Well, I just bought two tickets for Sunday the 16th since that seems to be the definite day. What time do we all plan on meeting? And where should we meet? Here's a floor map

 

i say meet by chevy or pontiac, it only seems right considering the cars we drive. i really want to see what theyre replacing the fbodys witrh. just my 2 cents

Not sure what is replacing the Camaro, but I know that Pontiac expects the new GTO to replace the Firebird.

Why not meet by General Motors Corp display. Its basically just the Chevy, and Buick displays.

 

Yeah meeting by the GM displays would be kewl. Or we could meet up at the accessories show around 11:00am. I'm game.

 

My father and I are planning on being there around 10:30, or 11:00am. I'm not taking the bird as I still have to break in the engine, and I don't feel like risking it in chicago.

I'm still up for the GM display, but where is the Accesories display? I don't see it on the map.

 

It's upstairs between the Lexus and Toyota booths. You have to take the escalators up. there's food and crap to buy. I'll be there early. So who else is gonna go?

 

Would be nice to have a TGO shirt to identify eachother. ^_^

As usual it was a shame that no body was able to meet up at the car show sunday, let alone meet for the tix that you could use during the week. We gotta find a common date sometime. We're batting a thousand here. Well Hopefully if we can set a date in the not too distant future to hook up and have some fun. sorry xpndbl3 (steve) i never made it out because of this school project that took the whole weekend away. But i will give you a call soon.
