hey lfn at u

hey denny,
i was looking an Andre's car a while back and i noticed that the bracket for his power steering did not bolt to the manifold, like we discussed about my problems a while back.....his bolts to the outermost head mounting hole instead of a manifold bolt....

DO YOU HAVE ONE of these???
lol
I just saw a pic of it and it reminded me to ask you. Since I can't get my power steering pump to line up properly yet. I included the pic---notice no manifold bolt needed only the hole in the driver's head for a bolt.

Thanks again
Steve

here's the pic

notice it uses the head to bolt onto rather than the manifold...

can you tell i'd be exicted to get this??

Steve

andre,
i checked out the local bone yards. they didn't have any although they said that it would $5 if they did have one. No luck yet, so i thought i'd turn to my main man, Denny to the rescue.

That's probably going to be a tough find Steve. Those are from cars without A/C. I've never had a non-A/C Camaro or Firebird. I'll keep my eyes out for one but they're tough to find. Not only that, but they're usually stipped down cars with basically no parts value in them.

Hey Steve, I just wanted to let you know that I'm supposed to check out a car this week that should have the bracket you need. It is an '87 IROC and is supposed to be a non-AC car. It sounds like it will be worth the price. As long as that bracket is there, it's yours...for $100 (HaHa!!!). I would hope to have the car by the end of the week.

Well Steve, I told you it was going to be a tough find but...TAH DAH!!! I found one. (I'm impressed!!!) Believe it or not I found a FULLY FULLY loaded IROC without A/C. I think this car has just about every available option except A/C. It even has the factory Bose system. (Can't wait to put that on eBay). It looks like I'll get the car New Years Day or the day after. I'll probably start pulling it apart over the weekend.

Denny,
sounds great. Just wondering by chance, how much does a nice guy like you charge for the non A/C heater box and the controller, ducts, etc.

I'm just thinking since it would be a nice addition to my camaro since it has no heat or A/C and the boneyards by me don't have any Non-A/C cars yet.

thanks

Steve

PS what do you want for that bracket? I think that makes about the 45-50th bracket i'm trying out for this power steering pump.

Just give me $5 for the bracket and I'm happy. I may end up keeping the airbox myself because I need one for the white car. However, I may end up putting it on eBay just because I know they can go for some insane money. If I did sell it, it would be on eBay just so I can kinda get an idea of what their worth. Unfortunately, nobody else seems to be able to get them either so I haven't seen many fro sale before.

ok denny,
i'll give you a call then about that bracket. I will probably go get it saturday if you're available.

I'll have to keep looking at boneyards for that airbox....since it's impossible to find.
