Leaving

Looks like I may be leaving the "NW Indiana and South Chicago Suburbs" board in the very near future. I was laid off of from work last week, effective the end of December, not a big surprise, I've known for nearly a month. So with that news hitting, I'm looking to move back east, more precisely, Maryland, believe it or not, my mother lives minutes from where last years Third Gen Nationals were held. Hopefully we can get this gathering at the Science museum happening befrore I find employement and have to leave. For the few people I've met, and most of you know who you are, it's been a pleasure and I'll keep everyone posted as to our plans.

Steve

Damn Steve, that sucks. I was hoping to see you out next year, but I guess I'll have to make a trip to Maryland for that then.

What about the Wife n' kids, you gonna be okay for a little while before you get a job again?

I hope you don't have to sell your new toy, but family does come first in the end.

Thankfully I was given an nice severance package, and I've always had a good track record of finding work. The job market may suck for most jobs, but for what I do, it's still pretty good. It also helps that I've been supporting computers & networks for nearly 14 years now also. The car is paid for, so it's not going anywhere!

Just because you're movin out east doesn't mean you can't stop in every once-in-a-while to say hi. Anyway, I wish you luck in your future and career.

(Christ I'm sounding like my guidance counselor...)

I'll still keep checking in on everyone. Besides, with the organizer of the Thirdgen Nationals also in MD, looks like if you wanted to come to the Nats, you'll have someone to visit!

Let me tell young wipper snappers a thing or two...back in my day.....

Enough of that crap, I'm not that old. I was looking at something on the Mid-atlantic board, and I don't think that the Nats will be moved to Denny's. Although it didn't look like I would have been able to make Denny's this year anyways...wife is expecting child #3 the beginning of June, and she has a history of going early.

Ya know, they say the memory is the 2nd thing to go...and damned if I can't remember the first!

2 years + snip snip = no child #4!

Already decided, no children after 35. I want to be young enough to enjoy my retirement, don't feel like chasing teenagers around when I'm old & gray...wait a minute, I mean older & grayer!

I'm gonna try and make the museum, I know the kids would be interested in that, but I'm not sure about the dinner. I'll post in the sticky when I find out more.

should i look for you in/as one of the exhibits?

I'm sorry man...it's gotta be gettin old...no pun intended, but it's just hard to stop.

the rest of you might be interested to know that i'm considering the idea of keeping my car....but losing the engine, so whoever might be interested in a th350 (got a new d/s thats the right length if you need one) and a 4bolt short block, lemme know what either'd be worth to you (punched .030, balanced, profiled, h-beam wheelers with speedpro hyper slugs)...And if you want a lift off 4" cowl...might be gettin rid of that too....gonna need near retail for it...also i still have a tpi wiring harness, a MAF sensor, an ecm (165), the chip adapter, two chips, a pocket programer, two iroc wheels, four wheels (seen'em on trucks and cars...i think they're american racing, all with blown tires ) an '85 hatch, the lil spoiler/wing, doors, door glass, overhead console, center console, power brake booster, a/c box/heater fan, an s10 wiper motor, 85 iroc grid tail lights, f-body power seat rails, and **** knows what else....it's all for sale, name a reasonable price for anything, possible trade for 60 degree 700r4/4l60's...yea, thats right...ya'll have no idea how ****in crazy i am and thats why you'll never guess what i got goin
