Starter Problems.......

Starter Problems.......

yea so i go to start my car today.......it starts and runs just fine

then when i turned it off.....i heard the starter motor continuing to try to engage....so i just disconnected the battery

wtf happened? that started is almost brand new

Check to make sure none of the terminals on the starter are touching each other. I forget which terminals are labeled what, but none of them should be visibly touching each other I know.

Axle/Gears: Always the good ones
Double check the terminals at the starter.....

Should only have B+ on the main cable from the battery with the key off.

Could be something shorted there to the ign b+ to the starter for cranking.

Or you could have a fubared ignition switch keeping it live at the starter when key off.

Check the basics first
