I was going to pick up another Iroc this weekend. Test drove it Sunday and told the guy what I was going to give him, he said cool, going to my brothers house today and I thought I saw it drive by.. So I called the guy and told him that I have the money and ready to pick it up, He said he sold it TODAY, I wasn't very happy but what can you do, so is anyone else selling a 88-89 Iroc, or a convertible. Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago.I went and test drove a 92 Rs 5spd.He was asking $3500 and i talked him down to $3200.As soon as my paycheck cleared i got the money and called him and he said he sold it for $3000.I was pissed.

 

Thats why u always go for a pre dated bill of sale or some type of deposit/down payment method, then u dont get burned. Or agree on a 24 or 48 hr period of time. One car I missed out on the guy actually called me with someone else there with cash and said "Guy is here with 5100$, u offered me 5200 but he has the cash now and I dont like him but I need the $$$" Couldnt sell my other toy at the time. Still bent over that one

When I go walking, I'm either packing the cash in my hand or can be to the bank and back within the day. Gets u maximum ball bust too when u go"Will u take xxx$ I can do it right now!"

The seller said the buyer was on his way to Wisconsin to look at another one, just quess it was my bad lucK. Found a couple on here that I would rather have anyway. So one of these days I'll get a 2nd iroc

 

That happened to me once with a, dare I say it, mustang looked at the car on a saturday told him I'd be back on sunday morning called him at 9 o clock and the thing was gone I was pissed but then I got my first Formula so I guess it worked out
