To anyone that is able to:
Please give $$$ or toys to the Salvation Army.
I have seen several reports where they are low on toys and $$$ for children for christmas.
I have next to nothing due to school, but I'm still gonna pick up a toy and donate a few dollars.
I give to very few charities but Salvation Army is one I do because like 99.5% of every dollar you give goes to someone who needs it.

I will need to give more generously then what I usually do. I usually give more in donations, but getting a toy would not kill either. So do they normally get low on toys and $$$?

I believe they try and match toys to children(what they want)
It doesnt always work, but they try their best.
I only give to charities where 99% + of the donation goes to someone who needs it, aka no to United Way and the like.
I caught a bell ringer on the way into Walgreens today and told him to make sure and catch me on the way out.
I used a $20 to buy a 2.75 card and gave him the rest into the bucket and shook his hand and wished him Merry Christmas.
Those people are there for free. So please try and give them whatever you can and tell them thanks.
I want everyone to post something similiar I hope. It is the spirit of x-mas after all, not how much crap you get.
