Shoot I get a hard time by just keeping a few things in the house.
For those of you who havent seen his basement,It looks like a third gen Walmart down there:hail:

Hmmm.....lost that bet. At least you can say you've blown them because you are making power.
I've just got unlucky with some crap. First the original died a month after I bought the car. Then the 2nd blew the front pump to peices, and after fixing that, the governor inspection plate came undone on the highway and I lost all my fluid, fried the band.
Now, on transmission #3, I pray to the lord every day for the salvation of my transmission. I pray that the tranny may forgive my transgressions against it for torque art with me.

Yeah, talk about a lope. I swear I asked my friend if we had a plug wire off somewhere. He was like, I think that's the idle....
And it needs a stall badly. It has a junk B&M 2400 in it right now(you use what you got). Hopefully I can get a good vigilante at some point.

You'll like that cam it pulls rite up past 7000rpm. If you can get your car to hook be prepaird to be looking out at the sky not the end of the quarter.
I've had several guys tell me that I will prob end up shifting at around 7000. I know the heads and intake are good for it. And according to you, the cam will pull right up there(which I was hoping). Kinda romped on it a little tonight, it flashed 5500rpm so fast it almost scared me. Tires just lit up, didn't even try to stick. I pulled to 6000 with no prob. Not a full pass, just through first gear...and I was feathering the throttle at that.

My setup was a little diff. than yours tho.
Performer RPM heads
Victor Jr. intake,750 demon carb.SLP 1 3/4 shortys,MSD everything.TCI stall,345 gears.
I had good luck with that cam, post how you like it once the motor gets some miles on it and you can really get into it.I'ed like to know how it does with FI as compaired to carb.

It reallys gets fun once you hook and start brakeing stuff
Welcome to haveing no traction.and if your useing a shift light, set it to come on around 6800 and accounting for reaction time to shift it and the time it takes the trans to shift you'll be at 7,000 or better.

Unfortunately I don't have a good tach yet. I do know about shifting early though. I raced this car for 6 months or more before I lost it. Plus I raced my '88 all the time when I had it. Not many people I know can really drive these cars, I have 4 years of practice.

It sucks to have something go wrong, hours from home.

a new battery and I am up and running again. I feel like I will have the slowest car there though. plus since the rear end was rebuilt right before it went into storage, I can't even jump on it cause the 3.73's aren't broken in yet. oh well.

If you guys need anything I'm 3 miles off I55 at exit 63 RaymondIl it's 1 hour north of ST louis...It looks like I'm going up sat and coming home that night
Thanks for the offer Tony. Like I said, I have an 8 hour trip there and back. No telling what'll happen. Hopefully nothing. We're gonna get a toolbox with a few things we think we'll need for the trip, and hope for the best. We'll be heading up on Friday, and prob staying there Sat night, and headin home on Sun. Really depends on how long the Fest lasts. Might be getting a # from you or somethin though, just in case...if you don't mind that is.

BTW- Mikey, I need your address and stuff so i know where to meet you. I'm the kid with the black firebird that comes into Murray's all the time. Anyways, here are pics of my car....

Its not really a show. And you shouldn't expect every car to be show quality. Really about 1 in 10 cars there might qualify for Show quality. Though many will look very nice, just not perfect. And there will be cars that have glaring defects (mine for example with its faded/peeling paint and crack in the front bumper cover.
