Don't think im gonna make it this year unless theres some good people in bloomington who have some parts and wanna help a brotha out gettin the dansam back on the road. I may decide to come up anyway but ill be drivin the beemer, but i think that may be a lil awkward.

Just gotta get time off work and come up with the money after dropping what im guessing will be 4500 bucks for paintjob, exhaust and to have all my motor upgrades installed!

Im planing on being there again this year, even though I dont have the 'bird anymore. (Had to find it a new home due to emissions and the fact that I inherited a restored '37 Chevy Pickup.)
However... I know someone who does have my car and hopefully he will make it after last years absence.

cats don't matter you'll be fine, although with a 305tbi why would you even remove it? you'll never notice the difference.

Re: Third Gen Fest '08?
i noticed a def difference because before the engine acted sluggish on takeoff and after i cut the cat out and put an open element on the intake i could def tell a better reaction in the engine. Plus the egr valve doesnt work anymore so now it dumps more fuel in, so i get a lil more hp but ******* gas milage, but im putting a high flow on prolly before i come down..

Passing through states doesnt matter the only thing that matters is the state the car is registered in. If you are clear and green there then thats it your fine.

Ok guys can someone show me where my engine block number is when we're there?
Also my car is rusty in the quarter panels and worried what some people will say whan I'm there. Should I put some bondo and use car spray paint to doctor it up???

Re: Third Gen Fest '08?
i wouldn't worry about it, perhaps while there you should ask around for tips on fixing it the proper way instead of hiding it for the show
