Hey i was wondering wher exacly this gen fest is me and my cuz are thinken about driving our 91 camaro's down, if we do go we are comen from west fargo ND...how much does it cost to enter and how much are hotel rooms down their?

crete, IL and no details are posted until march-ish usually. hotels can be found on hotels.com, orbitz.com etc in the area. there is also a campground which is rather cheap. It's $35 a car IIRC to enter and includes food, pop, and a raffle ticket.

 

If you are near Fargo, ND I drove there once and it took me 12 hours. Hope that helps.

Bring both Camaro's. We will make you feel at home. Plenty of local hotels to shop for prices at.

12 hours hu? ya i live in fargo nd...its going to be a fun drive now i just half to get the gas money to get down their.

 

I was last there in '04. Then I moved to Virginia and the car was under the knife all summer. I'm looking forward to going next year... hopefully I can pass emissions one last time.

I stopped moderating in the spring... no time for it and just lost interest in this place basically.

And my brother's IROC sold a month or so ago.

 

Do you even have to take the test? I thought they removed the equipment for our cars from 95 back?

All cars in compliance as of February 2007 are now exempt. My car was not in compliance, as it was due for a test and then I put it in storage. Now I have to pass one more time and then I'm good.

 

what all exactly does this entail? is it one day or more than one? im gonna try and talk 1meanZ into following me out to 3rdgenfest this year

This is the first year I'm driving as of July 2007 cause of my 16th b-day. I live in the arlington heights area and am wondering how far it is to the place this fest is at?

 

45-50 minutes tops...easy drive...you should plan on coming...you won't regret it

 

if i come i doubt ill bring the build Z28, simply because i dont want to trailer it and that would be an extremely costly drive. but ill roll the daily Z28 out that way

 

so is there one of theses every year cause i cant make it this year cause i dont have my drivers license and wont till march 2009 and is it at the same place every time?cause i will definatly wont to check this out.plus it would b a good reson to take the camaro for a hella long drive

Yeah but we need to get some more pics of the caravan this year. That one from last year was good but I was at the end of the convoy and you could barely see my car. But that was a good drive though. How many cars did we have? 8 or 10 or so? Either way a string of F-Bodies going down the road is always a nice sight.

 

Il be there it should be fun i have some buddies that might as well 2. Cant wait.

 

oh man i cant wait for this years "tgf" i missed last years and am pumped for this years. i will have the suspention kit installed on my iroc that i won at the 06 "tgf". cant wait

I am actually thinking about going to check this out this year. I doubt I will be bringing the iroc though unless I happen to round up enough cash for the t56 before then.

 

Holy crap we are talking about TGF 08 already? Hopefully we have better weather then last year but the quality of the cars last year was great too. Guess its time to start working on the Formula again. Doubt the IROC will make it but who knows.

man, i'd like to make it to one of these, but unfortunately its the same weekend as the Fbody Gathering (www.fbodygathering.com) and i havent missed that in 4 years.. and aint about to start either!!!

 

i don't think i'll be attending this year, the ta is up for sale and it may be gone by then
