How was it??

I was there today at teh track, took forever to find it though, not many people there. I guess it cause of the chance of "thunderstorms".

I wish it was a sunny day, cause there wasnt much people there and it wasnt what i expected, oh well, stuff happens, i'll be ther enxt time ready to race a "rustang"

Actually it was much better than I expected. The show field was a little, um shall we say thin? I thought the overall F-body turnout was great for a first time event. The 3rdgen turnout was the best of any F-body event ive been to at E-town. I enjoyed the time trials (it was my first time down the 1/4). I thought it was a successful event and hope for it to return next year bigger and better.

Me, Popapork, and KZad were all there, thought it was great , especially good for the first year of this event. Seemed like there were a million 4th gens, but that's ok as long as I got to see some Firehawks

PS - Kudos to Tim for setting up the event, you rock dude!

I had a great time. I took a few trips down the 1/4, I got a bunch of runs, it was great. Also, dynoed the LG4, not bad for an old computer carbed engine... I look forward to next years event. I would try to get more active sponsors, maybe they could show up with a little more than some free catalogs, especially if they want my money. Overall, this event was well executed, it seems the sponsors were a little weak with their presence. Next year will be bigger, all first time events are "small". I feel we had a good turnout, just enough cars to make the races fun... See ya next year.

I was there, man it was cool, i couldn't believe the amount of WS6's and SS's there, it seemed like they were everywhere i looked! Unfortunately i didn't take my car. I ended up driving my maroon Plymouth Breeze. Did anybody see that thing there? it was sitting right at the very end of the staging lanes (has 17in 5 spokes). After watching the races for a while, i was about to enter it and try runnin it, but i didn't want to get laughed at with my sub 30 second passes....

owell, theres always next year...

Eric

EDIT: BTW, i got about 4 rolls of film to get developed from the event, i'll post as many as i can as soon as i get them back

i made it there with my 89 formula but tim had me working most of the day over at the car show area which i got some pics that should be up on the site soon. We were a little dissapointed in the turnout but for a 1st year event as well as it being advertized only online it wasnt too bad. We should double in size by next year but next year i sure as hell aint working im racing...the trophies and prizes were too good to pass up on the next time around.
