Saturday Car Show

I was wondeirng about the car show we are having on Saturday..........

Is it going to be open to people in the community that would like to come see a Firebird/ Camaro show??

I know we aren't going to let other people enter their cars.......but at least we could advertise it in the community to get people to possibly donate more canned food, or charge them like $2-$3 for admission and help pay for the awards we are giving out.....

Then we could possibly even get a local radio show to come and also if this was turned into a local car show, magazines and vendors would most likely be willing to come out....

Share your opinions/thoughts/comments on this idea.....

P.S. This would strictly be a 3rd Gen car show meaning that we would not allow other people to register............IMO....that is the best way to go if we take this route........

I believe I included something about that in the letter of intent. Not really charging a cover charge. But I think a cover charge of a canned food item is a really good idea.

no cars other than 3rdgen models should be allowed in the show; there should be parking though for all the other cars.

how are you planning all of this without pre-registration??

Once I have the date set, I'm gonna make an online registration flyer for people to fill out and email me.

And also, they'll have to make a copy to bring with them to the show to enter.

Sound ok?

you should do whatever you think, although it sounds ok to me.

since this is the thirdgen nationals it should be kept that way. no sense in having even one 4thgen or other type of vehicle to keep it thirdgen. that's my reasoning behind my statement.

if anything your flyer is good, but you might consider a confirmation letter of sorts rather than making copies of their registration.

you know, something along the lines of thank you Mr. Smith for yadda yadda yadda we look forward to seeing you. include the date, time, location and your set....fast and easy.

that's cool, yeah, there won't be any car in the show other than a 3rd gen, they'll have to park elsewhere, but there is one guy comin from FL who just bought a 4th Gen that wants to come, I'm not goin to turn anyone away that wants to come for some fun, though they can't really park with us.

you shouldn't turn anyone away; but they should understand they can't park with the other cars during an actual show........i suppose you could set the car off into a far corner if it was an absolute concern. wouldn't see why it would be though afterall it is the thirdgen nat's right?

the confirmation letter would be a good idea. you could keep the names of everyone that you sent flyers in an excel spread sheet, or something to that effect.

i also agree that we shouldn't turn anyone away, but if they're not bringing a thirdgen, they'll have to park in a designated area away from the thirdgen car show.
