Camping Info

This is the email I just sent out to everyone, if you did not receive it email me.

Feel free to use this post to try and find out who wants to share campsites.

Hello,
Sorry for the long delay on camping info.
Here is the link to the place I'm setting up for us. http://www.dnr.state.md.us/publiclan...reenbrier.html
You can make reservations online or there is a phone # on the site you can call.
This is in between the fairgrounds and race track. Be sure to reserve your spots for the DogWood loop. You'll have to reserve it for 2 nites minimum for summertime, which it's about $25 per nite per campsite. I am going to start a thread on the Nationals board that way maybe people can get a site together and cut costs. Again be sure to reserve the DogWood loop, and reserve a #'d spot that has a bunch of nearby spots, for example if the website shows sites 20-32 are available start filling those up first. IF anyone has any questions feel free to ask. Be sure to reserve ASAP so you can be sure to have a campsite.

Also, as far as funding for everything, some people have already sent in their remaining fees, however quite a few have not. I would greatly appreciate your final payment as soon as you can. I was going to upfront a few hundred of my own money with my upcoming paycheck, but that has changed, as it seems my 10k mile rebuilt transmission doesn't want to shift worth a damn, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do, I konw I can't afford another rebuild.

Be sure to check out the Nationals board, specially for the locals as there is a post where I am in need of some help for this event.

Now that warmer weather is here, cept for the continous amounts of rain, if you go to a car show, be sure to hand out flyers and spread the word.

Any questions just ask.

Thanks,
Mark Shields

I think me and my friend are coming down Saturday morning to the show and then go home at night and hopefully get back to the fairgrounds so we can take the trip to the track for Sunday.

Is that ok for use to do that?

MD- sounds fine to me

Phil- you mean which #d site? If you use the online reservation it will list the available #d spots, just be sure to get one that has a lot of nearby ones as well open.

They allow 6 people per site, and online they only offer 2 person tents. I'd call them up and ask.

All I have is a 4 person tent. And really I just need to know so I can find someone to split a site with. Not like I need a whole one for myself.

That's what I'm looking for. So, if anyone has a campsite that they want to split, let me know - post on here, or PM me. Otherwise, I'm going to reserve a space tomorrow.
I'll be by myself in a 2-man tent, and I don't take up much space. Thanks

I also would be interested in sharing a campsite. I checked the map on the website and most of the sites are close to a bathhouse and half are close to water. I plan to be alone but who knows, that may change. Either way I won't know anyone there so hopefully it will be a good time.

Well, I have spot #6, and we have 4 people there: me, gearhead0384, camarogirl18, and one other guy. If there are 1-2 more people that would like to share the site, that would be great, just PM camarogirl18 about it, because she arranged everything.

i'm also only bringing one person. i'll run it past him, and if you're not really really crazy (really crazy is ok), then it's fine with me - it'll definitely cut the cost anyway.

pat

Me and him are already sharing a site , it would be cool, but they only allow 2 tents per site.
