IROC wonderbar removal: Help any for drag racing?

Is it worth taking the bar off? Help on launching any?

Im going to try it at the track this season but just wondered if anyone has tried back to back testing

Sure...

... anything that you can remove off the front end of these cars, as far as weight, will be a benifit.

Will it be noticable, no.

I figured that much

I meant does it help keep the car straight when it launches. resist twisting, make the car less stable at high speeds, etc. That sort of thing.

As far as I know, The sway bar will only help you out in the bendies, not straight line racing

... the wonder bar, too. It's a steering box brace.

SFC's are what will help to prevent twisting the body on launch.

I actually added one to my car Guido. They weigh maybe 3# at most, and it seemed to help my car from twisting up much on launch. my driver's side wheel didn't seem to lift as high, but I really didn't see any signicant 60ft times. I did pull a better 60ft after I put it on, but it was in better weather, so I think thats more of the reason why the car went faster. It might be interesting to see if someone actually put one on/ took one off @ the track.

Im going to give it a shot myself when I get to the track.

As far as stability, I dont think I have a problem with that. I have subframe connectors and a FULL roll cage as in it has the hoop, 2 bars to frame in cargo area, x brace on top of rear spring mounts, 2 bars to subframe in back seat area. halo bars down through dash and bars through the firewall to the front of the frame.

I dont know if the car would even miss the wonder bar.
