not happy with my run. how much is this costing me
I went out and G-tech my car today
said I pulled a 16.4 at 90.2 mph
and also rated me at 105hp though that was with a weight of 2800lbs which did not include the fact that I was using the weight of someone else's car but did not take into account me or my pass or all the crap like my speakers, pillows, blankets ( you can fit 4 ppl in this car to sleep in but can only fit two to drive in, go figure), other misc junk and stuff like that. so I am sure my hp number could be a little higher
I know the car has more in it but I have a fairly nasty intake leak I just found. looks like one of the nuts ( there is only two of them ) came off of the plastic intake duct that hooks up to the Throttle body. also on my front muffler two of the 4 studs are stripped so I have one NASTY exhaust leak, plus there is another exhaust leak comming from right in front of my pass rear muffler. and my tip of that same muffler is broke off.my car is still running rich. my injectors are orig with 172k miles on them. had a 1/4 tank of gas in the car of mid grad (ewww I run best on cheap gas), and with the intake filter it is setup right now to draw in hot air from my engine bay so that is not helping any, and the run was done with my windows down and my sunroof up.
how much would something like that cost me you think.
mods done to the car
intake filter,
header with 2" prim pipes going into a 2 1/2 coll pipe then spit again into 2" pipes comming out the back.
the temps where about 90* with a elevation of 2000-2500ft
if I was able to get my problems fixed how much do you think I can gain on this car?

I don't know about G tech, but 90 mph at a track will get you bottom 15s, if that is accurate.
Any weight you can take out, do it. Don't know how an intake or exhaust leak would effect your car but: Intake leak can let more air in than measured or calculated (depends on how your system works), and an exhaust leak before an oxygen sensor can hurt alot too. Both will mess up your mixture.
The broken tip on your muffler isn't a power robber.
good luck.

Keep in mind that Gtech's do NOT use average speed like at the track. In general your MPH will be about 8mph lower at the track.
I tried using a Gtech a few times...felt like tossing it out the window, and decided to just go to the track.
