What does your timeslip say the MOV is?
5 car lengths doesn't mean much since it depends on how fast each is going. The mph converted to feet per second gives an approximate time. The average car is 16 feet. 5 car lengths would be 80 feet. If the slower car is doing 90 mph then it is going 132 feet per second. You should have crossed the finish line 1.65 seconds ahead of him.
Don't forget that in that last 80 feet, both cars are still accellerating so the feet per second is increasing.

"Time slip"? Sounds like a dangerous, illegal street race to me.
