Close enough but not exact.
First of all a roll bar is considered a main hoop behind the front seats. 2 bars going back and at least a driver door bar making it a 5 point bar. Everyone adds the passenger side bar to make it a 6 point bar. An 8 point roll bar will have extra bars attached under the main hoop of the crossbar and go down towards the tranny tunnel.
It's considered a cage when there's a complete roof bar going around the top of the windows and a-piller bars. More bars can be added after that for extra strength and stiffness.
A roll bar is required for convertibles at 13.99. Full bodied cars require a roll bar at 11.99. The roll bar is good to 10.00 unless the floor or firewall have been modified. Modifications include moving the firewall back so that the engine can be set back. Cutting the floor to create an access panel for transmission removal in excess of 1 square foot.
If the floor or firewall have been modified then a full roll cage is required at 10.99. If not then the full cage is required at 9.99.
My 6 point bar adds 70 pounds to the car. Even adding a roll bar to a 13 second car can be an improvement since it eliminated chassis flex.
