coilover spring rate?

Car: '87 Chev
Engine: 60*V6
Transmission: DY T700
Its pretty much trial and error unless you can copy what someone else has tried. The rear of our cars is fairly simple because the shock angle mimics the spring positon and angle so they should be the same. I am currently working on a rear coilover set up and if I can get the coilovers custom built to my specs, I will be 1st trying 225# rear coilover springs- 2.5"diameter. I am price shopping right now and am not getting much imput in responses on custom built units.
Fronts will most likely stay a bit lower spring rate than the conventional springs you are currently using because the are mounted more outboard that the conventionals and don't have to be quite as stiff of a rate to maintain the current ride stiffness.
