Got the posi installed...

Well, I got the posi installed this weekend and I'm hoping to head for the track this weekend (assuming that it's dry). What do you guys think she'll run? Engine mods are all in my sig (Edit: I've got homemade subframes installed as well). It's pulling real hard, but I'm a bit worried about traction. Right now I've got some v-rated Michelin's on there and they're no slicks! However, with the posi, she definitely hooks a LOT better. It's too bad that I installed the subframes at the same time, I'd like to see what kind of a difference those would have made on their own. Anyways, looking forward to a couple of "guesstimates", I'll let you know how close you were on Saturday! (No doubt, driver error may have something to do with it )

Maybe you could provide a little bit of input as to how much better the times will be once I can afford some good (street...) tires, too?

Hey! No guesses at all? Well, I'm probably going tomorrow night, so you'd better hurry up! Ok, ok, I won't force you to, but I'll tell you what I'm hoping for (highly unlikely for my first run at the track): 13.8. Do you think that that's doable on my tires? They've got tons of tread, but, like I said, they're obviously not the greatest.

By the way, how should I go about warming these things up? Will a burnout even do anything for them?

Well, I finally got out to the track and was rewarded with... a 14.1. (My best run) Definitely need to work on launching, but, it'll get better with new tires and some practice! Thought that that wasn't bad for my first time at the track. Stats were as follows:

14.12 @ 101.8
60' - 2.17

With some practice and new tires, I'm thinking that she might even see 13.8...? Not bad at all for the amount that I spent. (IMO) New LCA's and maybe even 13.7 hehe Now we're talking! Anyways, just thought I'd leave an update.

Edit: just thought I'd make a note - I was losing traction on the shift from 1st to second a bit as well, might account for the fact that, if I remember correctly, for that slow of a time, the 60 foot should have been... higher?
