Found the problem

I built my motor about two yrs ago, and it never has ran what we thought it should. I started diagnosing, and found #8 intake lobe gone, took out the 292 magnum hyd cam and put in a smaller 286 solid. It came out with a 8.45 1/8 mi, which is a tenth slower than the other, no big deal. Anyway last week I decided to buy a new MSD distributor, so I could do away with the ballast resistor needed for the Mallory Unilite ( wire on resis. came loose & pissed me off). The unilite was only thing not new on motor. So on Sunday I unload and run 7.98 & 7.99 1/8 mi all day and got in the money, woohoo. Just goes to show just cause there is no miss, doesn't mean all is well.

Thanks, I have a performer rpm nitrous kit I installed over winter but have yet to fill the bottle, I wanted to figure out the motor demons first.
