What do you think I would run?

Ok. My setup is in the sig however all that is going to change. I am just curious as to what you think I could pull off with this combo.

1987 Pontiac Trans-AM TPI
SFC's and TDS wonderbar I don't nkow what difference this would make speed wise but these items are being installed anyway.
GM crate 350HO 330HP/360TQ engine (I know the numbers off of the TPI setup or a mini-ram would be different.)
Ported TPI Plenum with siamesed runners or should I go with the miniram?
1 5/8 headers Not sure what brand yet.
3' catback exhaust
custom chip
stock 700r4
3.42 gears

These are things that are in the works for my car and I wonder what it would run in the 1/4 mile. I will be installing most of these mods at about the same time.

I can drive pretty well actually.

My car is an automatic so shifting won't be to much of an issue. So figure on me being a decent driver in your estimates.

I would be happy for the moment hanging with the LS-1 crowd and killing LT-1's. Assuming they are stock. I know I would need more than this engine to really "kill" an LS-1.

I know it's going to take a Stealth ram or Mini-ram or even a Super-ram to realize the potential of this engine under fuel injected use. However initialy since I can not afford to do anything other than a stealth ram I will probably use the factory TPI system to start. So I would like estimates of both. With TPI and with an aftermarket setup. Thanks.

If you put TPI on the 350HO you are going to choke it off pretty badly...

Well the TPI installation would only be temporary until I can get an aftermarket setup.

My TPI intake will be ported and I think I have a good lead on some Long Tube runners and I will port my plenum. So it won't be stock and not the best solution but I will do what I can to reduce the chocking effect until I can use better equipment.

Currently I am researching the Stealth-ram Mini-ram and Super-ram. The Stealth ram is appealing for several reasons. Cost being one of them. I am still undecided in this area.

87WS6,
What 330HP/360FT LB crate engine are you talking about? I was looking at some to see what kind of cam they came with. The ones I found available so far are all using Vortec Heads at this time and are rated 380 FT. Lbs of TQ. If this is the engine you are getting, the stealthram seems like it would be out of the picture, And you would need a different baseplate right away.

I was wrong. It is 380FT. I just used the figures off the top of my head. It's the 350HO non-delux. I don't want the carb and vortec intake manifold.

I know I would need a new baseplate. I would need one for stock TPI or a Stealth-ram, Mini-ram and or Superram. But why would the HSR be out?

my friend just put the 350HO with 330hp in his 88 camaro , it ran a 13.6 @ 102 or 103 with a carb.

What kind of intake/carb was he running? I was running a performer intake and edelbrock performer 600 carb and got a best of 13.9 at 102 out of it. I switched to a speed demon 650 with mechanical secondaries and went to a 12.93 and a 12.88 at 105 and 106 mph's.

But why would the HSR be out?
Because it only fits 23* standard pattern heads. The Vortec heads require a speciffic intake pattern and the ports are taller and narrower than standard SBC intake ports. Who knows if Holley will build one or not in the near future. The SR is doable w/ a SDPC base manifold, and TPIS does make a Mini Ram speciffically for Vortec pattern heads. HTH

Well that helps. That narrows down the choices to two intakes. Getting closer..........
