Best ET, MPH and 60' so far!
had a hot date with my vette last night at the track and we made some passes. best time was my first run and i hit 13's! here is the break down from the time slip.
RT: .544
60' 1.969
330: 5.800
1/8: 8.947
mph 78.55
1000: 11.658
1/4: 13.965
mph: 99.49
my witness was Jim (MDFormula350) as he snapped alot of shots of my vette
Thanks Jim! i overwound the 2nd gear shift to 5200 rpm on this run. i did heat the tires and she spun up so hard she hit the rev limiter! this was my first time on the limiter ever. i had 20 psi in the old GSC's and was dissapointed when i launched on this run, thinking because i didn't spin it was gonna be slow. when i got the time slip i was so happy i couldn't believe it! best thing is i got around 100 dollars in mods if that! all this on a 2.59 rear gear and a stock stall at 1600 rpm. i was staged at 185* water temp also. i think with cooler weather (high 40's low 50's) and staged at 160* degrees, as she sits right now while hitting my shift points at 4900 rpm, i could see a 13.7 pass
Rich Rubel is helping me install my front Y pipe with no pre-cats and i might gut the cat at the same time until i get my high flow cat.
i think my next mod will be a chip from Jeff so my fans come on way early.
Current Mod List:
Mostly stock all free mods K&N open air box, MAF descreened, TB Bypassed, 160* T-Stat, Accel Super Coil, 12* degree advance timing, and No Mufflers.

awesome! youve got nothing but free mods, and with a little better weather, youll be hitting mid 13s. a 1.9 60ft on street tires with the 2.59 rear is very impressive as well!

Very nice times. Just goes to show that it only takes a good driver and some cheap (free) and easy mods to get a car running good. Get the car in the 13.7 range with some cooler weather like you plan, and then a few more mods and next thing you know you are heading for 12s!
By the way, very nice 60; time for the stock stall, and gears!
All I could cut with a converter on my auto was a 2.108!

thanks fella's i was very impressed! last year my best ET was 14.24 with a 2.04 60' but she was totally stock!
unfortunatly changing gears in a vette is very expensive! costs around a grand just to get the rear dropped and the gears installed. IRS costs alot of money to have this done. if and when i do it (when i get in the 12's or break the damn thing) i'm gonna get a Dana 44 which comes with stock 3.45's and then i'll be happy but that'll be the last thing i do
