Need traction help. My cars spins wildly into 3rd gear.

I seriously need some traction tips for my firebird, something low cost and effectly that won't add a lot of weight, not interested in heavy traction bars, or that kinda stuff. Here's what I have now...........home made control arm lowering brackets, lakewood boxed control arms, 3.73 stock posi 10 bolt rear, Jamex lowering springs, Yokohoma YZ 245/50/16 tires. The motor is a fairly stout 350 in the 450-475HP range and the transmission is a T-5. Since I dropped the new motor in, I wouldn't even feel confident racing high 12 second cars, even though Iknow the motor is good for high 11s (my buddies 11.80 chevelle runs the same motor setup with a heavier car) because of the massive traction problems I have. Any ideas?

traction problems

i would just start with some bfg drag radials, i recently bought a set for my 91 z28. On regular tires my car wich makes about the same power as yours ran 13.40's & .50's with 0 to 60mph in the 4.9 to 5.2 sec range. Now it runs 12.70 to 12.90 and 0 to 60mph in the 4.2 to 4.3 sec range. Oh and i'm at 4000 ft elevation. Try em you'll like em also try a right rear air bag.

ET-Streets 26X11.5X16 should do the trick.

Your T5 probably won't appreciate slicks. I kinda have a simular problem, how far can you push the tranny.
