New Best Time at Capitol Raceway!

here it is

if i ran this MPH and 60' time at Cecil instead of falling off 4 mph like i did this run would of been a 13.0 or high 12.9 pass

i ran 4 gallons of 104 high octane gasoline to try and help with any knock retard i might be getting. i'm gonna back my timing down to 10 degrees and see if it pulls any harder or might play with the 0-2 timing that some say works.

next mods will be my TPiS longtubes headers, AFPR, and chip. when i get my longtubes on and AFPR then i will goto the dyno and see what my #'s are so i can work with Jeff on burning my chip with them mods i think i will dip down into the 12.7's

i have a poll on my Car Domain Site that asks if you think i can hit a 12 second pass with my stock TPI, stock stall converter, and stock 2.59 gears. Hmmm.... any doubters? Vote Now!

also got a deal on some SLP runners for 160. just need a big mouth base and i'll almost have all my parts for the winter project

Nice!! Now just go to Cecil and get it over with lol....Also if your putting some race gas in I would bump the timing up a little myself........Goodluck with your quest!

Great short time on those Goodyears. Especially at Capitol!

I'm still pretty sure you'll find its your timing like I said over on EFA. Until you go for 3.08 or better gears, I just don't think you'll be able to carry that much.

Maybe you can have someone burn you a chip that keeps the timing in 1st and 2nd and pulls timing in 3rd. Then you'll still be able to launch good and still pull on the top end. Hate to see you loose the low end from dropping the timing back. Just a thought.

Congrats on the new best.

Thanks Fella's!

i'm going up to www.FBodyCentral.com this week and Tony and I are going to play with the timing. We are going to install my AFPR and when i get my headers next week install them babies! then up to Heffners for some dyno pulls to dial in the Fuel Pressure.

after that i am getting a chip burned and will discuss what you said TT. i'll see what he has to say. he's burning my chips when i am ready till i am modded out as far as i want to go for a buck 50
