Kyb Agx Adj. Shocks/struts Settings
Having just recently installed KYB AGX adjustable shocks/struts, can anybody tell me if I would want to set the shocks/struts on the softest or hardest for the strip?
It would seem since 90/10's are the desired front shocks on drag cars, you would want to set the front on the softest for max rebound/extension for max weight transfer?
What about the rear? unless I have fallen behind in technology (what little I knew to begin with) if a 50/50 shock for the rear is still the hot ticket--do U want a stiff or soft rear shock--seems like some experianced drag racers could tell me if you want a soft or hard shock on the rear.
Thanks Craig

Since shock settings are a tuning aid, there's no real answer. I have mine all set on the softest settings and have never changed them. My 60' times might improve if I started playing with the settings.
In theory rear shocks are probably the ones that should be adjusted the most. If a track is slippery then soft setting should be used to allow more weight transfer to let the tire bite more. On a sticky track a firm setting should be used. This will keep the rear of the car from dropping which could cause the engine to bog down from the extra energy needed to grab more pavement.
Front shock/struts only need to be adjusted to let the front end rise enough for proper weight transfer. This will depend on the amount of power an engine produces and what kind of condition the track is in.
