You can't run 18" wheels in stock but it's OK for SP, SM ... there may be some limits in CP and the other Mod classes.

This is a good website for the Stock, Street Prepared/Touring/Modified rules:

auto crossing

I autocross an 85 IROC with ZR1 9.5 and 11.00. Have adapters. One can run ESP, SM, others I'm sure. Handles great, and makes a big difference in times. SPD performance for adapters. 2.25 front and 1.25 in the rear with 11.00 wheels.

Good luck

you should be fine with adaptors, the other thing you can do, is if you go , sign up to just do a 'fun run' most places will let you do that, you won't be competing in a class, or for points, but if you just want to go drive the snot out of your ride, that might be your bag.
