Ran the car tonight, new bests all around

Well I am happy even though I haven't ET'd what I thought I would yet. For those of you that dont know, this is a 350HO crate motor with an XE274 camshaft in an 82 Camaro.

First pass was naturally aspirated, 36* total timing on my 2 year old BFG radial T/A tires. Great track prep:

60ft: 1.985
330: 5.285
1/8: 8.057
1/8mph: 88.56mph
1000ft: 10.451
1/4: 12.476
1/4mph: 111.10mph
I was extremely happy with this pass, since I picked up almost a full mph. Only changes since last year were roller rockers, a tuneup and a cage, so I imagine the rocker arm swap helped a bit.

2nd pass was on 26x10 ET Drags, still naturally aspirated. This made my night, because the car left pretty damn hard for being a naturally aspirated 350 even with a little bog, and the steering went loose on the launch I got back and had 4 different people telling me my car is pulling the front left tire 2-3" on the motor

Anyway here is that pass:

60ft: 1.796
330: 5.085
1/8: 7.875
1/8mph: 87.91
1000': 10.289
1/4ET: 12.336
1/4 mph: 109.99

I cant find my next timeslip, but I left decent and ran the car through first and second, then put it in 3rd and sprayed for probably 3 seconds, could really feel the car pick up on the bottle too I dont remember the ET but the mph was 113.XX, so it picked up over 3 mph over my other slick pass.

The next pass after checking plugs I still ran 4* of timing retard on a 100 shot (just to be safe for now), and sprayed after the 60 ft, letting off before the end of the 1/4. I got a pretty crappy bog on the launch (32* total timing on the launch N/A), This was the result:

60ft: 1.825
330ft: 5.092
1/8ET: 7.764
1/8mph: 92.43mph
1000ft: 10.061
1/4ET: 12.000
1/4 mph: 116.25

MPH is definately nice, right what I thought itd be, but ET should have been faster in my opinion even if it wasnt a full n2o pass. Also I think this is where I should have been checking my bottle pressure... heh

Last pass I ran a 12.3 at 113 on the bottle. I hit the button right out of the hole and the car spun HARD and went sideways a bit (a lot). Dont know what that was about, but I checked my bottle pressure after that pass and it was at 600psi, so either it was too cold out or I have used up a bottle already, which is why I am guessing that it only picked up 3mph on a full pass.

I was expecting 7-8 tenths and 7-8 mph, I got my 7 mph but I think I need to get a better launch on one of my nitrous passes to obtain a better ET.

116.25 mph comes out to 402 hp at the tires at altitude, so I am happy with that. I just need to get the ET that I want.

What do you guys think? Next week I will run it again with 2* of timing retard activated with the N2O, so that I dont have to worry about the motor bogging in the 60 foot.

Great times. Even better MPH. W/ traction there is a good mid 11 I think.

great times! but question why are you waiting 60 ft to spray? why not right out of the hole? and do you have alot of suspension work done to the car yet. cause that makes all the difference in the world. good job keep it up!

I just did on that pass, the last pass of the night I sprayed right out of the hole and blew the tires off . Pretty sure it was due to track prep tho.
