Does anyone know what a stock 90-92 L98 5.7 TPI will run in the quater mile? I went to the track last night....but didn't bring my car...but..I am thinking about bringing it...just to see what kind of time I would get with the mods I have right now. But...I am REALLY wondering what a stock 90-92 L98 will run in the quarter. Anyone know? What do you think my car would run in the quarter with my current mods? Thanks alot fellers

 

Really depends on state of tune and condition of the car. But back in '87, my buddies then new 350 IROC went 14.3 completely stock. That was the fastest stock IROC I'd seen before or since. Most were .5 second slower or worse. Some hit the 14.5 range every once in awhile.

You should be in the 13's with traction.

 

Factory stock anywere from 14.1's and 2's to 14.6 and 8's all at sea level...depending on gears and year

 

My 90 GTA ran consistent 14.5's stock with K&N airfilter only.

 

thanks for the input guys...I was thinking that a stock L98 (90-92) would run low to mid 14's.....just wanted to be sure...

 

yeah mid to low 14s stock.

and you should have no problems at all being in the 13s

But generally is a 14.3x@95..never gotten any higher in the mph.

Bone stcok not counting the K&N stock replacement filter in the airbox.
