new times
actually there the first times i've gotten on the 383...best run was a 13.6 at 103mph...about 2.1 60', at first i was a little disappointed that all i got was a 13.6 out of a 383 but then i remembered that i'm stilll running single wheel peel w/2.73 gears. i'm going to get a powertrax locker and i'll probably keep the gears the same, i've got a th350 trans so i need the highway gears for gas mileage.how much do ya'll think the locker will help me? i should get better times the next time i go, this was an experimentation night, i've still got to get all my shift points and launches down.

The gears will ehlp a ton, as the mph shows the traction isnt all that bad. I think with gears, posi, and tires mid 12s shouldnt be hard!
i took my 383 to the track for the
first time last week and went 13.14 @105
mph not much more than you .. i had a
2.08 60 foot and was at full throttle at 20mph
that's et difference .. on your combo of trans and gears
a good torque converter will make a big difference

i've got a b&m torkmaster 2400 torque converter, i didn't want to go above a 2500 stall for a street car. i really think getting the locker will help me out a lot and of course some stickier tires.
