first time going rounds!
last weekend was the third time to lost creek raceway in anaconda mt. running in the pro class and the 4th time to a track in 20 years . i have had trouble cuting lights
. i either red lit .390 to .490 or had poor r.t.'s. sunday i put on my sunglasses for the first time trial and cut a .563!!(still on older .500 lights) witch is good for me. then the next 2 runs are .554,.519 wow!!!. first round i cut a .511 to the others .860. 2nd round cut a .519. 3rd round .511. 4th round (semis) .560. at this point i'm in my first EVER finals and going against the guy's car that runs the track and his driver always cuts good lights . i thought i had a bad light and thought i would never catch him, but i did ! i cut a .543 to his.620 he said it was his worst light of the weekend . lucky for me . but anyway i got 1st place in pro class
WOW i got a throphy and a ck. for $150.00 . i dialed an 8.02 and never changed it, ran 8.06 three times and a 8.07 on the 1/8 mile at a track that is at 5100' and a denisty alt. of 8400'

Cool. Feels good to win. My last trophy, win or runner up, was back in 1998 before I got the car.
I wear my sunglasses always when racing. If I'm not squinting at the lights, I can usually see them better.

I've always worn shades during the day, but last evening at T&T was the first time I tried it after dark. I liked the results.
I'm going to try some really dark shades during the day tomorrow and see how that works.
Congrats on the 1st place!

Oakley uridium?sp lens work like a champ. Just becareful that first round at dusk, tend to pick up .02 or so!!
Nothing like going rounds baby!!! Works even better if they round robin you so your brain can stay focused on task at hand instead of out thinking yourself....dont think anybodies ever done that here!!
Keep telling buddies and new guys that come out here to really focus on staging and R/T since 9 out of 10 times the car will take care of itself. But staging consistely is cruitial!! Great job!!
