High 14 sec mostly-stock 305?

Okay, well my buddy and I drove up to Milwaukee to check out the MSOE campus today and planned on spending the rest of the day at Union Grove dragstrip. Well, sure enough, the dragstrip was closed due to "track conditions and forecasted weather" so we were both pretty pissed. Anyways, I brought my laptop along because I wanted to do some tuning. Since we weren't running at the track, I decided to get a few 1/4 mile bursts in using the ECM852 software off Moates' site to get some times.

Said I ran a 14.7x with a 2.02 60' and then another 14.7x with a 2.06 60'. I don't remember the trapspeeds which would have helped. For some reason it didn't log those two runs. It logged one of the other ones though which was a 14.63 @ 92mph (but it shows that the throttle was only 90% at end of run, so this may have been one I let off the throttle in), but the tires spun pretty bad and it gave me a 1.79 60' time. The 60' times in this program are based off wheel RPMs, so I could just stay in one spot and burn em and still get a 60' time. Basically, tirespin = faster 60' time with this program.

Anyways, I was wondering if the 14.7x's sounded about right for my car? Last time I ran, my car was completely stock with just the SLP cat-back. 15.52 @ 88MPH (converted for sea level from 15.77@86.8).

Since then, everything in my sig has been added, and 125lbs of weight was removed (rear seats, spare tire/jack, A/C, front swaybar). The temperature today was also in the low low 40s.

The way I looked at it...
-1 tenth for the 125lb weight reduction
-2 tenths for the much better weather
-1 tenth for high-flow cat
-1 tenth for K&N CAI (this dropped my MAT from 124*F to 96*F)
-2 tenths in 60' reduction from new shocks/struts and better launch (no front swaybar, on good launch with no tirespin so accurate 60')
-2 tenths from Accel coil, MSD 8.5mm wires and properly gapped plugs (on the 15.77 run, my plugs were all between .040 and .045 and varied widely)

Now I know these laptop things aren't 100% accurate, but from my previous experiences it seemed pretty accurate (my times with this laptop used to be within a tenth or two of what I ran at the track). Does this sound possible to anyone else? 14's with a stock-motored 305TPI automatic with 2.73s and posi?

My geuss is that you are around 15 flat and there is a .3 or so error. There is usually up to .5 sec error in hand held ET devices.

Fair enough, that's still more than I was expecting out of yesterday. I was just hoping for low-mid 15's, but I guess it does make sense to be where I'm at..

Now, for the intake/head/cam/header swap

Ah okay, so I guess 14.7 is pretty realistic then. Cool

My G92 LB9 completly factory including the 12 year old dry rotted tires leaking stock cat back and a worn out throw out bearing in the STOCK clutch assembly ran a 14.89@92

then with only a flowmaster, K&N, egr walls ground down a good set of Street tires (not DR), a oem repleacement clutch and me beating it senseless ran a 14.12@almost 96.....14.2-3 not powershifting...

i have no problem with beating my stuff....you wont run the time if your affraid to break it...i ground down the clutching teeth on the 1-2 slider aswell as the 2nd gear from powershifting it....only 150 to fix =)...going to keep beating it till it breaks for good then time for a g force

35HP extra, better rear gear, and better overall gearing in those cars.
