helmet problem

helmet problem
i bought a helmet for cheap, but the only problem with it is that it smells like gas. And its not a nice smell when your waiting for the like to turn green. Does anyone have any tips to out to get the smell of gas out of anything like a hemlet????

Well, maybe you should try the Fabreeze.
At least you didn't have the problem of it being outdated or not of proper standard.

I'e never had any luck with frebreeze actually getting rid of odors, it's basically just covered them up. Tried it in a few vehicles I bought, 1 had smoker smell and other had cat ****. Both still stunk, only now it stunk with original smell with a perfume hint to it.
When your not using it, try the baking soda trick maybe? Try putting a small bowl of baking soda inside the helmet and put helmet in a box and maybe it will absorb the smell like they do in refridgerators. If it's nice outside, just let it air out would be another option. If it has a removable liner, take it out and wash everything you can.
